Rental Policy

Driver License Requirements

A valid full (Class 5 or higher) driver's license issued from the country of residence.

Acceptable Licenses

• Unexpired Canadian license or a temporary license/permit issued when original license is lost, stolen or expired.
• Unexpired U.S. license.
• International renters: unexpired license from country listed as acceptable for foreign licenses.

Non-acceptable Licenses

• Learner's permit, mutilated or altered license motorcycle license or license to drive military or company vehicle only.
• International driver's permit is not acceptable on its own; it must be accompanied by a valid license from the country of residence.
• The renter's driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period.

Age Requirements

Any renter who is over 21 years of age and possesses a major credit card.

Deposit Requirements

( Deposits are mandatory for every rental contract. Every deposit must be secured by using a major credit card. Credit card, card holder along with a valid photo ID must all be present in the office at time of pick up.) Pacific Car Rentals requires a minimum of $300 available on a major credit card as a security. (Amount vary from vehicle class, and drivers age please contact our office for more information.)

• Cash deposits are not accepted.
• Pacific Car Rentals accepts the following rental deposits: VISA, Master Card, and AMEX.
• Debit credit cards issued from outside of Canada are acceptable.

Payment Methods

Pacific Car Rentals accepts the following methods of payment: Interac, Cash, VISA, Master Card, and AMEX.

Pick-ups and Drop-offs

Pick-ups and drop-offs are available at either of our 2 downtown Vancouver locations. Please inquiry for special requested ( fee will apply). After hour return is a service which  allows the customer to drop off the rental vehicle outside of our business hours. The renter is responsible for that vehicle until one of our representative has visually inspected the vehicle during the following business day opening hours.

Insurance

Renters using their own insurance coverage must present valid supporting documentation prior to rental.
Vehicle inspections are preformed with a customer representative  before the vehicle leaves the rental lot. All damages must be marked down on the inspection sheet prior to leaving our lot. It is the renter responsibility to ensure they have thoroughly inspected the vehicle and any existing damages have been noted on the form.

Provincial Road Tax             $2.99/day

Over Mileage Charge            $0.20/km , 0.35/km  & 0.49/km ( prices may vary by vehicle class, please contact our office for more information)

Full Gas Tank or                    $2.99/L ( speacialty class rates may vary, please contact  our office for more information)

Accessories for Rent

Navigation System GPS ....... $19.95/day
